Artistry of Music
WHAT’S IT ALL ABOUT?
Performing music is an art in itself.
From building a healthy mental approach to collaborating with other musicians to developing one’s stage and studio presence, performance is so much more than just “making music”.
AOM courses focus on learning the performance aspects of music: correct vocal and instrumental technique, gaining confidence in on-stage and on-camera environments, and collaborating with other musicians and visual artists.

Courses at Maestre fill up fast, but we do have some courses that are currently accepting students.

EVERYONE CAN SING
Your voice is an instrument that is unique to you. So many people dismiss their singing ability before they give it a fair opportunity to be discovered and refined. Luckily, singing happens to be a technical skill that can be learned and developed with thoughtful instruction and care. Whether you sing a little already and want to improve your vocal technique or if you’re just getting started, Start Here Aspiring Vocal Artists has proven methods to help you explore and expand your voice. But, just being able to sing is just the beginning - read on.
GET THEIR ATTENTION
Learning how to captivate an audience is no easy feat. In this 12-week course, students will build confidence singing in front of others and while being on stage. This gives students the ability to engage with a supportive audience while honing their musical technique, repertoire, stage presence, and vocal technique. Classes take place in our state-of-the-art Performance Studio in which students will collaborate together to perform several songs (covers and originals) with a focus on musicianship, storytelling, and entertainment.

Maestre believes music performance is an underestimated aspect of being a music artist. This course helps develop your vocal ability and your artistry as an entertainer and performer. Too, students will also get the opportunity to play live instruments to accompany themselves and their classmates.

THE BIG PICTURE
AOM Level Up students focus on original music performed with a live band; considering the holistic live experience for their future audiences. Lighting cues, on-stage graphics, fashion, audience engagement are at the forefront of planning and executing an unforgettable musical experience.
PERFORMANCE
Maestre believes music is a language and not an instrument, and as such, students will have the opportunity to learn and perform on all primary instruments: guitar, bass, keys, drums, and voice to express their musical creativity. Working closely with Technology Arts students, each class has dedicated sound, lighting, and visuals engineers to help bring your artistic visions to life. If you are interested in the visual side of music, take a look at our Technology Arts Program.
