THE PROGRAM

Through the 5 month session, you will work alongside your artist peers and mentors to create original music, accompanying music videos, produce a bi-weekly podcast, and create compelling photo and video social media content to market and promote your AOM classmates.

Each week assignments are given to build the artist’s skill set and body of work to develop professional work habits. A significant part of the program is being held accountable to finish each assignment and show up to each and every work session.

At the end of the program, Maestre holds a release party, helps distribute your music to all major streaming platforms, and promotes artist music and creator content through a growing network of influencers and advertisers.

TIME COMMITMENT

The most valuable resource, and vital to your artistic growth, is putting in the time to get work done. As such, Maestre Artists are required to spend a minimum of 20 hours per week devoted to the program. This time is divided up into 10 hours per week in-studio (4 hours of instruction, 6 hours of in-studio productivity time) and 10 hours per week outside of the studio for study and homework assignments.

GROUP & ONE-ON-ONE MENTORING

Group mentoring is learning through both direct and indirect instruction. Each group learns about one another’s artistic goals over the duration of the course. As artists begin to gain clarity to their creative vision, groups work collectively to bring each artist’s vision to life. Offering perspective, feedback, encouragement, and accountability - group mentoring has been proven to be successful in producing high-quality, marketable creative work. Each week students will also meet one-on-one with a mentor weekly for 30 minutes to receive personalized attention for accelerated growth.

COLLABORATION IS KEY

Artists in each group wear multiple hats as part of the learning and creation processes. Working together, each group serves as a talent and production team for the creation of their content. Collectively helping craft songs, plan and produce videos and photoshoots, and whatever else needs to get done - your group is at your disposal. Artists can plan on being both in-front of and behind the camera, editing their own videos, and helping one another promote all artists at Maestre via social media and word-of-mouth. All necessary skills will be taught as part of the program experience.

ALL THE RESOURCES

This is your time to put in work. All spaces and equipment are at your disposal. Training is included as part of the program. Over each Artist Development session, artists acquire and refine skills in music production, recording techniques, music theory and musical thinking, performance, video production, branding, marketing, and so many more applicable skills that span over many professional industries; building character and worth ethic along the way.
