James, aka Mezz, a member of YHS (Young Hustle Society), finds artistic expression in many forms. From clothing to creative writing, Mezz has the drive and ability to turn ideas into reality. First introduced to music in the 6th grade, Mezz picked up the trumpet and has since found music his primary outlet for communicating his artistry.
Born in Erie, PA yet raised on the island of Oahu, Hawaii where he met fellow YHS member Dalii, he discovered his love for collaboration and the creative process. Known for his catchy hooks, swaggy demeanor, and well-groomed hair, Mezz brings a silky smooth element to the sound of YHS.
